Job Title: Registered Nurse 

Location: Orrington, ME

Job Type: Full-time for ‘24-‘25 School Year

  • Working closely with a medically complex student.
  • 1:1 Caseload.

    Overview: We are seeking a dedicated RN to join our team at ProCare Therapy and make a significant impact on students’ development and educational success! As an integral member of our healthcare organization, you will perform a variety of essential tasks within an educational setting, ensuring the health and well-being of students and supporting the overall educational environment.     Responsibilities:

  • Administering medications to the student according to prescribed schedules and dosage.
  • Administration of medication through a G-tube. 
  • Maintaining accurate health records and documentation of students' medical history, immunizations, medications, treatments, and health-related incidents.
  • Communicating with parents or guardians regarding students' health concerns, medications, and treatment plans. Providing information and guidance on when further medical evaluation or treatment may be necessary.
  • Ensuring compliance with state health regulations, school district policies, and legal requirements related to health services in schools. Reporting health-related incidents and concerns as required.
  • Providing specialized health care support to students with chronic health conditions, disabilities, or special needs, ensuring they can fully participate in school activities.

    Qualifications:

  • Valid Maine State RN license
  • Experience with G-tubes and colostomy bags.
  • Desire to work in pediatrics and make a difference.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
