Job Title: Registered Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse

Location: San Diego, California

We are seeking compassionate and highly skilled Registered Nurses and Licensed Vocational Nurses to join our dedicated team in San Diego, California . As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional healthcare services to our students and ensuring their overall well-being. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the health and educational success of the students within our vibrant school community.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional nursing care to students in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Assess and evaluate student health conditions, including physical, mental, and emotional aspects.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and first aid to students as needed, following proper protocols and documentation.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individual healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions or special needs.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to medical emergencies and provide immediate care until additional medical assistance arrives.
  • Maintain accurate and updated health records for all students, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Educate and promote health and wellness among students, staff, and parents through presentations, workshops, and resources.
  • Participate in relevant school meetings, committees, and professional development activities to stay updated on best practices in school nursing and student health management.

Qualifications:

  • Need prior experience working in a school setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Registered Nurse in a healthcare or school setting.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of current nursing practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with students, parents, and staff.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to handle a diverse range of student healthcare needs.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines related to student health and safety.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are advantageous.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
