Travel Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Nurse Job

Sunbelt is now interviewing Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Nurse for a contract assignment in Inglewood, California. Must have two years experience in the field. Please have updated resume and two professional references ready.

Qualifications:

1. Education:

   • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
   • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in California.

2. Certifications:

   • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
   • Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) is highly desirable.

3. Experience:

   • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting, with a focus on cardiovascular or cardiac care.

Responsibilities:

1. Patient Assessment and Monitoring:

   • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients in the CVICU, monitoring vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and other relevant parameters.
   • Continuously evaluate and reassess patient conditions, recognizing and responding promptly to changes.

2. Critical Care Interventions:

   • Administer and monitor the effects of medications, titrating doses based on patient response.
   • Perform and assist with complex medical procedures, including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) therapy.

3. Collaborative Care:

   • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including cardiovascular surgeons, cardiologists, and respiratory therapists, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
   • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and emotional support.
