Sunbelt is now interviewing Electrophysiology Nurse for a contract assignment in Atlanta, Georgia. Must have two years experience in the field. Please have updated resume and two professional references ready.

Qualifications:

  1. Education:

    • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
    • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Georgia.
  2. Certifications:

    • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
    • Certification in Cardiac-Vascular Nursing (RN-BC) or Certified Electrophysiology Nurse (CEN) is highly desirable.
  3. Experience:

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiology or electrophysiology nursing role.

Responsibilities:

  1. Pre-Procedure Preparation:

    • Conduct pre-procedure assessments of patients undergoing electrophysiological studies and interventions.
    • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure proper patient preparation, including obtaining consent and explaining the procedure to the patient.
  2. Intra-Procedure Assistance:

    • Assist physicians during electrophysiological procedures, including but not limited to catheter ablations, pacemaker insertions, and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) placements.
    • Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs during procedures, promptly addressing any changes.
  3. Post-Procedure Care:

    • Provide post-procedure care and monitoring for patients recovering from electrophysiological interventions.
    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and assess for potential complications.
