Job Title: Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Cartersville, Georgia

Shift: 12-Hour Shifts

Description: We are currently seeking skilled and compassionate ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team for a travel position in Cartersville, Georgia. As a Travel ICU RN, you will play a vital role in providing specialized care to critically ill patients in an intensive care setting.


  1. Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
  2. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans for patients with complex medical conditions, including post-operative care, respiratory failure, sepsis, and multi-organ dysfunction.
  3. Monitor and manage patients' hemodynamic status, including cardiac rhythms, blood pressure, and oxygenation levels.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and ensure accurate documentation of medication administration.
  5. Perform advanced nursing procedures, including arterial line insertion, central line care, mechanical ventilation management, and hemodynamic monitoring.
  6. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  7. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their medical conditions, treatment plans, and critical care procedures.
  8. Respond effectively to changes in patients' conditions and implement appropriate nursing interventions to stabilize and improve patient outcomes.
  9. Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  10. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.


  1. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working as an RN in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
  3. BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications required; additional certifications such as CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) preferred.
  4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with members of the healthcare team.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  8. Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
