Schedule/Hours:

  • 7PM – 7AM
  • Every other weekend requirement
  • No call
  • Full time
  • Qualifications/Experience:

  • Current RN license in Louisiana or compact state
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required
  • One year of critical care/ICU experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
  • Commitment to ongoing competency validation and completion of all onboarding requirements
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver holistic nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
  • Provide expert care for complex ICU patients (2:1 ratio) and IMCU patients in the ICU (4:1 ratio)
  • Administer medications/treatments per protocol; monitor effectiveness
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatments and therapies
  • Document patient histories, symptoms, and care provided
  • Collaborate and delegate as appropriate in the clinical setting
