Job Title: Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Thomasville, Georgia

Shift: 12-Hour Shifts

Description: We are currently seeking compassionate and experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team for a travel position in Thomasville, Georgia. As a Travel Med Surg RN, you will have the opportunity to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with diverse medical and surgical conditions in a dynamic healthcare environment.


  1. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients admitted to the Medical-Surgical unit.
  2. Monitor and manage patients with medical and surgical conditions, including post-operative care, wound management, pain management, and medication administration.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and ensure accurate documentation of medication administration.
  5. Perform thorough assessments of patients' medical and surgical conditions, including monitoring vital signs, assessing wounds, and evaluating laboratory values.
  6. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their medical conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
  7. Respond effectively to changes in patients' conditions and implement appropriate nursing interventions to promote positive outcomes.
  8. Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  9. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects to enhance patient care and outcomes.


  1. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working as an RN in a Medical-Surgical unit.
  3. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred.
  4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with members of the healthcare team.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  8. Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
