Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an experienced Med Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Marinette, WI. This role offers the opportunity to work in a well-regarded healthcare facility, providing vital care to a diverse patient population. Marinette, located along the scenic Menominee River and near Lake Michigan, offers a picturesque setting for both work and relaxation.

Job Details:

  • Location: Marinette, WI
  • Duration: 13-week contract
  • Setting: Medical/Surgical Unit

    Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including monitoring and managing various health conditions.
  • Administer medications, including IVs, and perform treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Utilize EPIC for accurate charting and documentation of patient information and care plans.
  • Operate Alaris infusion pumps and Pyxis medication management systems to ensure precise administration of treatments.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Monitor patient progress, manage care for acute and chronic conditions, and provide education and support to patients and families.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols.

    Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent Med Surg RN experience
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
  • Licensure: Active RN license in Wisconsin or compact state
  • Skills Required: Proficiency with EPIC charting, Alaris infusion pumps, and Pyxis medication management systems
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills, excellent communication, and patient care abilities
