  • Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid RN license with at least 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications; CPI required for certain units (can be obtained on site)
  • Comfortable rotating between units with diverse patient populations such as general medicine, behavioral health, dementia care, observation, and memory care
  • Proficiency in telemetry strip reading, direct and indirect patient care, communication, and stress management
  • Familiarity with chest tubes, trachts, IV starts, PCA pumps, and management of Gtt medications such as Amiodarone, Fentanyl PCA, Ketamine PCA, Dilaudid PCA, and Heparin
  • Openness to supporting CNAs and working closely with multidisciplinary teams
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding care to patients with a variety of diagnoses, including DM, GI, respiratory, renal, behavioral health, and wounds
  • Perform thorough assessments, administer medications, and manage devices according to protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, and hospital support teams to ensure holistic patient care
  • Float to other med/surg units as needed based on organizational requirements
  • Utilize Epic EMR, Alaris IV Pumps, and Omnicell for medication dispensing
