Travel Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse Job

Sunbelt is looking for an experienced Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse interested in a travel assignment in Washington, DC.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

Responsibilities:

1. Patient Assessment and Monitoring:

   • Conduct thorough assessments of patients recovering from anesthesia.
   • Monitor vital signs, pain levels, and overall patient status.
   • Recognize and respond promptly to any changes in the patient's condition.

2. Post-Operative Care:

   • Provide specialized care to patients recovering from various surgical procedures.
   • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
   • Manage post-operative pain and ensure patient comfort.

3. Collaboration:

   • Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members to coordinate and implement individualized patient care plans.
   • Communicate effectively with other nurses and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

4. Patient Education:

   • Educate patients and their families on post-operative care instructions and recovery expectations.
   • Provide emotional support and address any concerns or questions from patients and their families.
