This is an excellent opportunity for pediatric RNs passionate about oncology and hematology care. You’ll be working in an academic medical center renowned for its Level 1 Trauma designation, innovative teaching environment, and comprehensive pediatric services. Schedule/Hours:

  • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
  • No on-call requirement
  • Travelers work 75% of holidays
  • Schedule cycle: Every 6 weeks
  • Required Qualifications:

  • RN license with at least 1 year in pediatric hem/oncology acute care (first-time travelers considered with strong pediatric background)
  • BLS required; PALS preferred
  • APHON chemo certification mandatory
  • Skills in central line management, chemotherapy administration, pediatric assessment, and critical thinking
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage care for patients with leukemia, solid tumors, sickle cell crisis, and other complex diagnoses
  • Maintain patient ratios of 1:3-4 in hem/oncology and 1:4-5 in adolescent medicine
  • Collaborate closely with support staff, hospitalists, intensivists, and a multi-disciplinary team
  • Utilize EMR (Epic), administer medications using Alaris pumps and Omnicell, and deliver care guided by strict unit safety protocols
