Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join a dynamic trauma team at a renowned medical facility in Atlanta, GA. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Ideal candidates will have trauma experience and demonstrate exceptional surgical support skills.

Key Details:

Start Date: December 16, 2024

Schedule: Must be available to work every weekend night.

Holiday Requirement: Must be able to work on Christmas Day.

Responsibilities:

Assist the surgical team in preparing for and executing procedures, including setting up sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies.

Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques throughout surgical procedures.

Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to facilitate efficient operations.

Maintain and monitor sterile fields to prevent contamination.

Demonstrate expertise in trauma-related cases, supporting surgeons in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.

Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience in trauma surgery is required.

Certifications:

Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Strong ability to work collaboratively with surgical teams and maintain composure in critical situations.

Personal Attributes:

Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.

Resilient and adaptable to a fast-paced trauma setting.

Effective communicator with a commitment to patient safety and care.
