Seeking an experienced RN with proven skills in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing for a vital contract role in a busy hospital setting. This opportunity is designed for professionals who excel in fast-paced environments and are ready to provide high-caliber care in surgical procedures alongside a dedicated medical team.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour day shifts
  • 13-week contract

    • Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted RN license
  • Previous CVOR experience strongly preferred
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Proficiency in perioperative nursing processes, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Familiarity with surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and cardiac procedures
  • Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams

    • Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all aspects of cardiac surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes
  • Prepare and maintain sterile field and all necessary equipment for cardiovascular surgeries
  • Provide direct nursing care before, during, and after cardiac operations
  • Monitor patients’ status throughout procedures, reacting swiftly to changes in condition
  • Collaborate efficiently with all members of the surgical and perioperative care teams
  • Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly
  • Adhere to hospital protocols and infection prevention controls
