If it was not for its proximity to New York City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania would give off more luster.  Not lost in the shadow of the Big Apple, however, are the amenities that make the “City of Brotherly Love” such a great place.  Philadelphia was the nation’s first capital and was, perhaps, the cradle of the American independence move in the time of the pre-independence colonies.  There are many other entertaining things to do in Pennsylvania than just Philadelphia.  Located in the heart of the rural Amish country, Lancaster offers a chance to live as the Amish do: in a simple, slower and more peaceful time where work and family are stressed.  Serving as the state capitol, Harrisburg’s capital building looks remarkably like the beautiful structure in the Vatican.  Not far from Harrisburg is the Hershey Chocolate World which allows visitors to see how their favorite chocolate treats are created and the best part: free samples! In many ways, Pennsylvania is the place to be for your next travel nursing job.
