Step into a vital nursing role within a cardiovascular operating room (CVOR), providing expert care and support throughout complex heart and vascular procedures. Your expertise as a Registered Nurse in CVOR will contribute directly to positive outcomes for surgical patients.

Schedule:

  • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Shifts: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

    • Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Current, active RN license in good standing
  • At least 1 year of recent CVOR nursing experience (travel or acute care experience highly preferred)
  • Advanced knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and sterile techniques
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Exceptional critical thinking and adaptability in high-pressure situations

    • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe, effective perioperative nursing care to CVOR patients, including preoperative assessment and intraoperative assistance
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and status, recognizing and responding to any changes immediately
  • Assist surgical teams by maintaining a sterile environment, managing surgical instruments, and anticipating provider needs
  • Document interventions and patient responses accurately in the medical record
  • Provide support and education to patients and their families regarding procedures and postoperative expectations
  • Adhere to evidence-based practices and facility protocols, ensuring patient safety at all times
