School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Santa Maria, California

Key Qualifications:
• Active LPN/LVN license in California required
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate student health services
• Current CPR certification
• Compassionate, adaptable, and comfortable working with school-aged children
• Familiarity with IEPs/504 plans and state health regulations a plus

Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide direct and emergency nursing care to students and staff during school hours
• Administer medications, monitor chronic conditions, and maintain accurate health records
• Support students with special health needs, collaborating with educators, parents, and outside professionals
• Implement individualized health care plans and participate in health screenings
• Conduct health education and wellness promotion activities as needed
• Manage infection control protocols and respond swiftly to health concerns
• Maintain confidentiality in line with HIPAA and FERPA regulations
