Surgical Technologists play a pivotal role in dynamic hospital operating rooms, partnering with skilled surgical teams to care for patients facing a diverse range of procedures. This contract opportunity focuses on perioperative support in a high-acuity, fast-paced, and supportive environment.

Schedule/Hours:

12-hour day shifts (0700-1900), totaling 36 hours per week

Late call from 1900-2300 once weekly

Weekend call rotation: one shift every 6-8 weeks (Saturday 0600 – Monday 0600)

1-hour response time required for call shifts

Expectation to cover 50% of holidays during assignment

Qualifications/Desired Background:

Minimum two years of surgical technologist experience in a Level I or II Trauma Center

Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program (CST preferred, not required)

Current BLS certification

Demonstrated experience with general, transplant, ortho trauma, minimally invasive, robotics (DaVinci XI), neuro spine, neuro head/brain, plastics, and microsurgery cases

Proficiency with orthopedic trauma and head/neck free flaps

Cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility

Prior travel assignment experience required

Role Responsibilities:

Prepare, scrub, and assist for a wide variety of surgical procedures

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including charge RNs, clinical supervisors, anesthesia/CRNA team, and OR assistants

Uphold highest infection control and sterile technique standards

Operate and maintain state-of-the-art equipment, including EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell

Participate in robust department orientation and ongoing education

Adhere to collaborative scheduling and punctual attendance practices
