Experience the fast pace of a dynamic Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical environment through a rewarding contract role. This position covers 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) for 36 hours per week. The schedule includes a manageable weekend rotation—six shifts within each six-week period—and holiday coverage that includes one major holiday shift per cycle.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active RN license in Georgia
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an ED RN (first-time travelers considered)
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, BCR required; PALS and TNCC preferred
  • Proficient in management of drips, including Heparin, Insulin, Cardene, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Fentanyl, Propofol, and Levophed
  • Must be comfortable floating to SNU and ER for med-surg holds, as well as within the ER and potentially to a partner facility nearby
  • Skilled in phlebotomy and central telemetry monitoring
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing systems
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert nursing care to patients in the ER and med-surg departments, caring for a variety of diagnoses from chest pain to diabetic emergencies
  • Monitor patient status, perform assessments, administer medications, and manage complex drips
  • Read and interpret telemetry strips in a central telemetry environment
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including RTs, hospitalists, and intensivists available around the clock
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation using modern technology and equipment
