A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room (OR) to provide high-quality care in a dynamic surgical setting. This contract role offers a structured 3x12-hour evening shift schedule, totaling 36 hours per week, with the expectation of covering one weekend every three to four weeks and 1–2 call shifts per week.

Requirements for this role include:

  • Valid RN license with at least 3 to 5 years of recent Operating Room experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Proven skills in general surgery and familiarity with surgical specialties such as GYN, GU, ENT, orthopedics, and robotics
  • Previous trauma surgery experience is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and maintain a patient-centered approach
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and team collaboration skills
  • Primary responsibilities you’ll take on:

  • Delivering safe, effective perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures
  • Assessing patient status, monitoring the surgical environment, and responding promptly to emergencies
  • Coordinating with multidisciplinary surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adherence to safety protocols
  • Managing and maintaining sterile fields alongside supporting surgical procedures
  • Participating in scheduled weekend and call shifts as outlined
