An exciting opportunity awaits a Registered Nurse skilled in Operating Room (OR) practice, with a contract position now available. This specialized role is perfect for someone seeking a dynamic surgical environment, with exposure to complex cases and a collaborative team atmosphere.

Schedule:

  • 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each, typically 6:30am–5:00pm (schedule flexibility available)
  • Weekday on-call coverage: 5:00pm–7:00am, one day per week
  • Weekend call expectation: 48 hours (Saturday and Sunday), one weekend per month

    • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active and unencumbered RN license required
  • Minimum of one year recent Operating Room experience
  • Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing standards and protocols
  • Experience assisting with spine surgery highly preferred
  • Scrubbing skills and ability to circulate both valued
  • BLS certification (additional certifications such as ACLS are an advantage)
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

    • Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional pre-, intra-, and post-operative care to surgical patients
  • Circulate and, if qualified, scrub for a variety of operative procedures—including spine cases
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists for safe, efficient case flow
  • Adhere strictly to sterile technique and established OR protocols
  • Document accurately and maintain clear patient records
  • Act as a patient advocate, ensuring safety and comfort before, during, and after procedures
  • Participate in departmental call rotation per outlined schedule

    $2,323 - $2,458/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
