This full-time opportunity is based near Shawnee, KS, and may involve accompanying the student to and from school via bus transportation, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Active and unencumbered RN license
  • Prior experience in a school setting or with medically fragile children preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • BLS/CPR certification required
  • Excellent communication abilities to collaborate with education teams and families
  • Compassion, patience, and discretion in handling sensitive situations

    • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized nursing care to the assigned student throughout the school day
  • Monitor for potential changes in condition and implement interventions promptly
  • Manage medical equipment, medication administration, and health procedures as prescribed
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care, medications, and student status
  • Communicate proactively with school staff, healthcare providers, and parents/guardians
  • Participate in bus transportation as needed, providing constant supervision and medical expertise
