Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current, valid RN license in the state (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Previous experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred
  • Strong assessment, emergency care, and clinical documentation skills
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a busy school setting
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills when interacting with students, educators, and families
  • Proficient with basic computer systems (for health records and communication)
  • CPR certification required

    • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compassionate care to sick or injured students in accordance with best practices
  • Administer and monitor medication according to school and healthcare guidelines
  • Conduct vision and hearing screenings in accordance with state and district schedules
  • Perform immunization audits to ensure student records are complete and compliant
  • Maintain up-to-date and confidential health records
  • Communicate health concerns and updates to parents, staff, and administrators
  • Travel between multiple school sites as needed, collaborating with different teams
