Seeking dedicated Registered Nurses (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for contract positions supporting students with specialized healthcare needs in area schools near Saint Peters, MO. These assignments begin 8/24/26 and run through 5/28/27, with initial placements lasting 2-3 months and the possibility to extend based on school and student needs. Each nurse will be assigned to a single school, working Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, in a one-on-one setting with students requiring significant medical support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized, compassionate care to students with complex medical needs, including seizure disorders, G-tube feedings, catheter care, medication management, and monitoring during bus rides.
  • Respond actively to medical emergencies, follow established care plans, and execute seizure protocols.
  • Support students who are non-ambulatory and fully dependent on personal care, including safe transfers as part of a two-person team.
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Remain present on campus throughout the school day (on-site only).
  • Candidate Qualifications:

  • Valid MO RN or LPN license, current and in good standing.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Experience with seizure management, G-tubes, and complex pediatric care strongly preferred.
  • Commitment to completing time-sensitive onboarding: drug screening, fingerprinting, and specific online training modules (including Epilepsy & Seizure Disorder).
  • Willingness to review district-specific documents and sign acknowledgments as required.
  • Ability to work in person at one of the participating schools.
  • Candidates who have previously applied to the district must indicate the outcome of that application.
