As a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in school environments, you'll collaborate with staff and families to provide expert care, foster student wellness, and contribute to a healthy school community.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois RN license in good standing
  • At least two years’ experience working in schools or pediatric settings
  • Strong clinical assessment, triage, and emergency response skills
  • Excellent communication and record-keeping abilities
  • Commitment to supporting children with diverse needs, including special education populations (CSN experience is highly valued)
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of ethical care
  • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care and first aid to students and staff
  • Develop, update, and implement individualized healthcare plans, including those for students with special needs
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and allied professionals to support student health
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician’s orders and school policy
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to IEP/504 planning as necessary
  • Maintain accurate health records and comply with relevant privacy laws
