What You'll Bring:

  • Current and valid CA LVN license (required)
  • Experience in a school setting is highly valued
  • Strong background or comfort working with pediatrics; proficiency in monitoring and caring for vents, tracheostomies, and g-tubes
  • Willingness to accompany the student on the school bus as part of daily responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and advocacy skills for working closely with students, families, and school staff
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 medical care to a high school-aged medically fragile student throughout the school day
  • Monitor health status and manage complex medical needs, including ventilator, trach, and g-tube care as needed
  • Ride the bus with your student to ensure safe transportation to and from school
  • Collaborate with supervising school staff and participate in ongoing professional training as offered
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure confidentiality of student health information
  • This contract covers approximately 35–40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, within a supportive school community. Supervision and support will be provided, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality individualized care.
