Step into a vital role supporting student health and well-being as a school-based Registered Nurse on a contract assignment for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time opportunity is ideal for an experienced RN with a passion for working in education and making a positive impact in a school community.

In this position, you will work standard school hours from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day. Your school nursing experience will be essential as you provide direct care, manage health plans, and collaborate with staff to foster a safe learning environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of a few years of hands-on nursing experience in school settings
  • Strong knowledge of public school health requirements and protocols
  • Ability to create individualized care plans and support students with diverse health needs
  • Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, and educators
  • Flexibility, accountability, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment

    • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver daily nursing care and respond to medical emergencies on campus
  • Administer medications, treatments, and provide first aid as needed
  • Maintain accurate student health records in accordance with school policies and state regulations
  • Serve as a resource for staff on health-related matters and preventive care
  • Implement and monitor care plans for students with chronic health conditions or special needs
