This role involves a unique 1:1 bus ride assignment with a student, followed by a split afternoon shift. You’ll ensure the student’s well-being and safety during transportation, while also contributing to their overall school experience. Key Qualifications:

  • Valid RN or LPN license (Illinois)
  • Prior experience working with children or in school settings preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Able to work part-time split shifts and accompany students on school bus routes
  • Reliable and punctual, with a compassionate and student-focused approach
  • Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 nursing care for a student during bus transportation and throughout the scheduled afternoon shift
  • Monitor student’s medical status, administer medications, and respond to health needs as required
  • Document care provided and communicate any concerns effectively with school staff and parents
  • Collaborate with teachers and school nurse teams to promote student well-being
