Step into a dynamic and fulfilling opportunity serving young learners as a Registered Nurse in the Yorkville area. Two contract RN roles are available, designed for professionals passionate about pediatric care in an educational setting.

Position 1 focuses on providing 1:1 care for students with complex medical needs:

  • Monday: Support a 3-year-old student requiring ventilator assistance during a half-day.
  • Tuesday & Friday: Care for a 5-year-old with a G-tube, tracheostomy, and ventilator during full school days.
    This position may be split between two candidates depending on availability and preference; collaborating and flexible scheduling are possible.
  • Position 2 offers half-day shifts on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, centered around G-tube care for a non-vented student. You’ll play a vital role in supporting student health and well-being, collaborating with educators and families.

    Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active RN license, with current credentials valid for Illinois school settings
  • Experience caring for pediatric patients with complex medical devices (vents, G-tubes, trachs preferred)
  • Ability to thrive in a school environment, demonstrating excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary support team
  • Pediatric or school nursing background highly valued
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled nursing care for students with specialized medical needs
  • Monitor and document student health, responding to emergencies swiftly
  • Collaborate closely with educators, aides, and families to foster a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Maintain accurate healthcare records in accordance with school and medical protocols
