As a travel RN specializing in PACU/Pre-Op, you’ll expand your expertise in a dynamic setting, working with experienced healthcare teams and advanced medical technology.

In this assignment, you’ll be a critical member of a busy Pre-Op Holding and Phase 2 Recovery unit. Exposure to a mix of procedures—such as Phase 2 recoveries (Urology, GYN, Same Day Surgery), preoperative prep for surgery and specialty procedures, and a range of outpatient treatments—allows you to develop new skills and adapt to diverse care protocols. This enriching clinical environment supports career growth and enhances your professional portfolio with in-demand competencies.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 5A - 5P
  • Day shifts

    • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications required
  • Phase 2 recovery experience is essential
  • Pre-op experience is highly valued and considered a plus
  • Proficiency with Pyxis, EKG machines, Doppler, patient scale, and bladder scanner
  • Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
  • Responsive, collaborative, and patient-centered approach

    • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver care in a 9-bed preop and 5-bed Phase 2 recovery unit
  • Manage a 1:3 patient ratio for optimal outcomes
  • Provide preoperative and post-anesthesia support for surgery, endoscopy, cath lab, imaging, and outpatient infusions
  • Assist with EKGs, blood transfusions, and other procedures as needed
  • Maintain readiness for on-call responses within a 30-minute window from the facility
