As a Certified School Nurse on this 12-week, full-time assignment (with the potential to extend), you’ll have an enriching schedule: support a high school from 7 am – 2:30 pm (Mon-Wed) and an elementary school from 8 am – 4 pm (Thur-Fri). Qualifications:

  • PEL (Professional Educator License) – Certified School Nurse in Illinois (required)
  • Must submit proof of PEL certification/license and an updated resume with application
  • Previous school nursing experience strongly preferred
  • No RNs or LPNs without PEL certification will be considered
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver health services to students in the school health office
  • Provide care and advocacy for special needs students, including participation in IEP meetings
  • Serve two buildings—high school and elementary school—on a set weekly schedule
