Qualifications:

  • Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Prior school nursing experience is a must
  • Ability to provide comprehensive nursing care following state and local regulations
  • No LPNs for this assignment
  • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver first aid, illness, and emergency care to students and staff guided by professional standards and district policy
  • Administer medications and maintain secured records
  • Collaborate on wellness initiatives and special health projects
  • Assist in health office operations and ensure equipment (such as AEDs) is maintained
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with mandates
  • Serve as a mandated reporter for any suspected student abuse or neglect
