Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois RN license (no LPNs)
  • Prior school nursing experience required
  • Resume and certification/license must be provided with application
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care, first aid, and emergency intervention to students and staff
  • Administer and document medications following all protocols
  • Support school nurse in developing and maintaining wellness programs and health plans
  • Regularly monitor building AEDs and assist with office management tasks
  • Maintain up-to-date medical records in compliance with mandates
  • Act as a mandated reporter for suspected abuse or neglect
