Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse license in Illinois (IL-RN)
  • Experience as an RN in pediatric, school, or school health room settings preferred
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and diverse student populations
  • Commitment to supporting students’ physical and emotional well-being
  • Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Provide direct care to students and staff in the health room, including assessment, triage, and management of acute and chronic conditions
  • Maintain accurate health records and documentation in accordance with school policies
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment
  • Educate students and staff on wellness, prevention, and emergency response
  • Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and implement care plans as needed
