A rewarding opportunity is available for a Certified Nursing Assistant who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with complex medical and developmental needs. This full-time contract role supports a student with a multifaceted medical background, helping him safely access his educational program and receive the care necessary to promote his well-being during the school day.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 35 hours per week
  • Essential Qualifications:

  • Active CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or Certified Nurse Assistant license
  • Proven experience supporting individuals with complex health or developmental issues preferred
  • Familiarity with pediatric feeding disorders, dysphagia, and specific care considerations for students with chronic conditions a plus
  • Ability to monitor, implement, and document individualized health care plans
  • Excellent communication skills and compassion in working with students, educators, and families
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide continuous monitoring and hands-on support for a student with a variety of health and developmental diagnoses, including congenital heart disease, ADHD, developmental coordination disorder, eosinophilic esophagitis, and asthma
  • Assist with safe feeding and swallowing practices, ensuring adherence to dietary recommendations and safety protocols
  • Implement daily care routines, including supporting motor coordination, facilitating participation in classroom activities, and supervising physical activity in consideration of the student's medical needs
  • Communicate effectively with school nursing staff, teachers, and therapists to coordinate comprehensive health, safety, and educational supports
  • Respond promptly to any emergent medical needs and follow the established care plan
