Deliver critical care excellence in a dynamic environment as an experienced Registered Nurse in the ICU. This role involves supporting a 20-bed Medical ICU/Step Down unit, working closely with a collaborative care team, and providing exceptional nursing for patients with diverse, acute medical needs.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Includes weekend and holiday rotation commitments
  • Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current and unrestricted RN license
  • Minimum of one year’s recent ICU nursing experience required
  • Experience managing medical ICU and step-down/telemetry patients preferred
  • Proven skills delivering care in high-acuity settings with strong clinical judgment
  • Ability to float to the sister unit, managing step-down or progressive care patients
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (preferred upon hire)
  • Effective communication, adaptable to evolving patient needs, and a compassionate approach
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver bedside care for a range of ICU (2:1 ratio) and step-down (3:1 ratio) cases in a fast-paced environment
  • Float as needed to 5S, caring for step-down (1:3) or progressive care patients (4:1), demonstrating flexibility and strong teamwork
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for critically ill patients
  • Employ advanced monitoring, manage ventilators, infusion devices, and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and families for optimal patient outcomes
  • Uphold infection control, safety, and regulatory standards at all times
  • Complete comprehensive documentation to ensure accurate, timely patient records
