A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse with expertise in CVOR within a dynamic operating room team. This position calls for a confident clinician able to excel in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Shift begins at 6:30 AM; daily huddle at 6:45 AM.
  • Regular operating room schedule: 7:30 AM–3:00 PM (6 rooms), 3:00 PM–5:00 PM (3 rooms), 5:00 PM–7:00 PM (2 rooms), with the on-call team covering after 7:00 PM.
  • On-call coverage required for weekday evenings and 24-hour weekend shifts; staff self-schedule on-call shifts (typically 1-2 per week, subject to PTO requests).

    • Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years’ circulating experience in an acute care operating room.
  • Comprehensive background in General Surgery, ENT, Uro/Gyn, Orthopedics, and Robotics.
  • Demonstrated CVOR experience.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Preferred: CNOR certification and 5+ years of circulating experience.

    • Responsibilities:

  • Circulate for high-acuity cardiovascular and general surgical procedures including heavy robotics, Gyn, ENT, colorectal, vascular, and urology cases in a 14-operating room suite.
  • Maintain a 1:1 patient RN ratio to ensure optimal surgical care.
  • Chart accurately using Meditech ORM and uphold all unit and infection prevention policies.
  • Collaborate with an engaged team of RNs and surgical technologists to provide exceptional perioperative care.
  • Float to Preop Holding as required.
  • Participate in daily huddles, respond to calls within 30 minutes while on call, and adapt to the evolving needs of a busy OR environment.

  • Scrubs provided by hospital.
  • Artificial nails, dips, and gels are not permitted.
