Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time contract position
  • Variable shifts, with schedule subject to surgical case volume and operating room needs

    • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of one year of recent CVOR nursing experience
  • Advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) and basic life support (BLS) certifications required
  • Proficiency in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care of cardiovascular surgery patients
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in high-acuity surgical settings
  • Experience with interdisciplinary surgical teams and familiarity with the latest cardiovascular procedures and protocols

    • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care in the CVOR throughout all stages of cardiovascular surgery
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure optimal surgical outcomes
  • Monitor patient status, provide medication and interventions as needed, and respond rapidly to changes in condition
  • Maintain strict adherence to surgical protocols, infection control, and safety policies
  • Support patient and family education throughout the perioperative process
  • Document all surgical care accurately and timely in the patient medical record
