Skilled nurses with experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) care are sought for a key contract position supporting surgical teams in a dynamic hospital environment. This role offers the opportunity to utilize your clinical expertise and deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced setting, working closely alongside surgeons and surgical staff for optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license
  • Proven experience in a CVOR setting
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
  • Strong knowledge of surgical equipment, sterile techniques, and cardiovascular protocols
  • Ability to perform efficiently under pressure in high-stakes situations
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills

    • Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to cardiovascular surgery patients throughout the perioperative process
  • Prepare the CVOR environment, ensuring all required instruments and equipment are available and properly set up
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and operating room staff to facilitate smooth case flow
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and responses to surgical intervention, reporting changes promptly
  • Maintain aseptic techniques and strictly adhere to infection control guidelines
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately and promptly
  • Support patients and families with updates and education as needed
