Key Experience & Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted RN license
  • Previous experience in PACU or similar recovery room setting strongly preferred
  • Solid knowledge of post-anesthesia patient care, monitoring, and assessment
  • Excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking abilities
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records systems
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Schedule:

  • Full-time contract role (details to be discussed in the interview process)
  • Role Responsibilities:

  • Monitor patients closely upon arrival in PACU, assessing vital signs and overall stability
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments, responding promptly to any changes in patient condition
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and allied staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, discharge plans, and at-home instructions
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient documentation in compliance with facility protocols
  • Respond effectively in emergency situations and adhere to all safety and infection control procedures
