Make an impact this summer as a licensed practical nurse supporting student care in an educational setting. This contract opportunity is located near Cartersville, GA, offering a specialized assignment working one-on-one with a student. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the student’s health and safety during the school day, from July 6th, 2026, through July 16th, 2026.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current active LPN license in Georgia (or compact)
  • Direct experience with school-aged children or pediatric settings
  • Confident in 1:1 care, including ADLs, transfers, and tube feeding
  • Comfortable monitoring vital signs and documenting student health
  • Skilled in seizure management and VNS assistance
  • Proficient with asthma management and suction machine use
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with education and clinical teams
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide attentive 1:1 nursing care to a student, adapting to daily needs
  • Monitor and document vital signs throughout the morning schedule (8:00am–12:00pm)
  • Oversee tube feeding administration, management, and assessments reliably
  • Assist with activities of daily living and safe transfer procedures
  • Act quickly and appropriately during seizure activity or respiratory distress
  • Administer and document suction treatments and asthma interventions
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to ensure optimal student support
  • This position offers a fulfilling short-term assignment—totaling 14 hours per week—tailored for LPNs looking for impactful work in a school environment.
