In this role, you’ll provide one-on-one nursing support, ensuring student safety and well-being throughout the school day. Depending on the case, responsibilities may also include riding the bus with students to guarantee continuity of care. You’ll collaborate with caring educators and families to create an inclusive, supportive school experience for your assigned student.
Qualifications:
• Active and valid LPN or LVN license/certification
• Experience with pediatric or school nursing is preferred
• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable to the changing needs of students
• Strong communication and time management abilities
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and student safety
• Willingness to ride the school bus and adapt to varying schedules as needed
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver one-on-one medical care in accordance with assigned student’s healthcare plan
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Monitor, document, and report any changes in student health status
• Provide assistance with daily living activities if required
• Maintain accurate and timely health records
• Work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers
• Accompany student on the bus when necessary to ensure consistent support throughout the day
