Step into a meaningful role making a daily difference as a full-time LPN supporting a dedicated student through the school day. This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to deliver 1:1 nursing services to a 15-year-old student with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) specifying ongoing nursing needs. Your expertise will help ensure the student’s safety, comfort, and optimal health while at school.

You will work closely with educators and other support staff, focusing on the comprehensive medical care required for orthopedic, respiratory, urological, and gastroenterological conditions. Your professional presence will empower the student to access their education in a supportive environment, knowing qualified help is always nearby.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid LPN/LVN licensure in the state
  • Experience in pediatric or school-based nursing strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with providing comprehensive care for students with complex medical needs
  • Ability to remain attentive, organized, and responsive throughout the school day
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with families, school staff, and care teams
  • Compassionate approach with a commitment to student health and well-being
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver skilled nursing care as outlined in the IEP, attending to orthopedic, respiratory, urological, and gastroenterological needs
  • Remain by the student’s side during all school activities, monitoring for changes in health status
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments
  • Document care and communicate updates with parents and school staff
  • Support the student’s participation in learning and other school experiences
  • Advocate for student safety and comfort at all times
