You’ll contribute 68 days (544 hours) throughout the school year, delivering essential health services to a district with fewer than 500 students. As an integral part of the school community, you’ll ensure compliance and promote student health within a collaborative environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid and current certification as an RN, LPN/LVN, CNA, or CMA
  • Previous experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or public health settings preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident working independently while collaborating with administrative and teaching staff
  • Excellent communication skills to educate and train staff effectively
  • Familiarity with Medicaid-reimbursable health services and documentation requirements
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain compliance with state immunization reporting requirements
  • Review and update student health records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Develop and manage individualized student health plans
  • Interpret physician’s orders and train district office staff in the safe distribution of medications and healthcare services
  • Oversee entry, documentation, and release of Medicaid-billable health services
  • Serve as a health resource for students, staff, and families in the school community
