 Position Overview

We are actively hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for 1:1 school nurse positions in Gig Harbor, WA. These are full-time, in-person healthcare roles supporting K–12 students with individualized medical needs throughout the academic year.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking LPN jobs in Gig Harbor, school-based nursing roles, or pediatric LPN opportunities in Washington State.

 Assignment Details

Start Date: September 2

End Date: June 4 (NSY – Next School Year)

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Hours: 32.5 – 37.5 hours per week

Setting: K–12 (assigned based on student needs)

⚕ Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 nursing care for students with specialized medical needs

Support students with:

Tracheostomy (Trach) and ventilator care

Wheelchair and mobility assistance

Diabetes monitoring and support

Seizure management and emergency care

G-tube (feeding tube) care

Assist with toileting and hygiene needs (required when applicable)

Accompany students during bus transportation if required

Accurately document care and monitor student health

Collaborate with staff and families to ensure safety and support

Follow all Washington State LPN standards and care guidelines

Requirements

Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License – Washington State (required)

Experience in pediatric care, school nursing, or special needs care preferred

Ability and willingness to provide hands-on care, including toileting (required)

Comfortable working independently (no supervision provided)

Strong communication and patient care skills
