School Nurse (LPN) – 1:1 Student Care

Schedule: Part-Time | 3 Days Per Week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
Hours: Approximately 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP

ProCare Therapy is seeking a compassionate and dedicated  Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide 1:1 nursing support for a 16-year-old female student in a school setting. This rewarding opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact by supporting a student's medical and educational needs throughout the school day.

Position Overview

The nurse will begin each day at the student's home, accompany her on the bus to school, provide nursing care throughout the school day, and ride the bus back home at the end of the day. The family would like to schedule a meet-and-greet with interested candidates prior to the start of services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 nursing care for a 16-year-old student
  • Perform G-tube care
  • Administer prescribed medications
  • Provide tracheostomy (trach) care
  • Assist with transfers, including lift assistance from bed to chair
  • Support changing and personal care needs
  • Monitor student health and safety throughout the school day
  • Communicate effectively with family members, school staff, and healthcare providers

    • Qualifications

  • Active  LPN license
  • Experience with G-tubes and trach care preferred
  • Comfortable providing personal care and transfer assistance
  • Strong communication and caregiving skills
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a student's daily needs
