Advance your nursing career on a Med Surg/Neuro unit with a leading healthcare provider in the Ballwin, MO area. This contract opportunity offers night shifts on a supportive team dedicated to high-quality patient care. The role focuses on adult patients with diverse medical and post-trauma needs, providing an engaging and rewarding experience in a renowned facility recognized for patient safety and specialized services.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week (must be specified in submission)
  • Every other weekend rotation, no call required
  • 13-week duration
  • Flexible guaranteed hours; blocked scheduling may be approved per facility needs

    • Qualifications:

  • Active RN license valid in Missouri or eligibility for licensure
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • At least 1 year of recent inpatient Med Surg nursing experience required
  • Preferred: 1 year of Neuro nursing experience; ACLS from AHA
  • Willingness to float to similar/lower acuity units as needed
  • Flu vaccination (or approved exemption) required seasonally

    • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
  • Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments to enhance comfort and outcomes
  • Supervise and evaluate care provided by support staff
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold patient rights
  • Adhere to organizational mission, codes of conduct, and service standards
  • Engage in regular physical activities to meet clinical demands, including lifting, turning patients with assistance, and standing/walking while on duty
