Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a (36 hours/week)
  • No on-call or call back requirements
  • Weekend rotation: 6 shifts out of every 12 within a 6-week schedule
  • Holiday coverage: Work one shift on each major holiday grouping (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
  • Key Qualifications:

  • Active Georgia RN license
  • Two years of recent emergency department RN experience required
  • BLS, ACLS, and Basic Cardiac Rhythm (BCR) certifications required
  • PALS certification required; TNCC and national emergency nursing certification preferred
  • Competency with advanced drips (Heparin, Insulin, Cardene, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Fentanyl, Propofol, Levophed)
  • Strong phlebotomy and IV skills; experience with Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Philips monitors
  • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based care to a diverse group of ED and med-surg patients, including those with chest pain, stroke symptoms, trauma, mental health, and chronic disease exacerbations
  • Manage 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratio (ED), conduct comprehensive assessments, and respond to emergencies
  • Float to SNU or ER for med-surg holds, assist with surge beds as needed, and accurately interpret cardiac telemetry
  • Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, RTs, and CNAs to optimize patient outcomes
  • Complete required orientation (one day facility, two days departmental) and participate in ongoing education modules
