Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time contract; details provided upon interview
  • Qualifications:

  • Current and active RN license
  • Minimum 2 years recent experience in Med Surg/Telemetry nursing
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred (must successfully complete EKG competency during onboarding)
  • Proficient in trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, glucometer use
  • Experience with common drips including insulin, heparin, and titratable HR drips
  • Med Surg certification considered a strong asset
  • Open to both seasoned travelers and first-time travel assignments
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a diverse Med Surg/Telemetry patient population
  • Manage patient ratios typically 1:4-6; collaborate closely with LPNs, CNAs, and interdisciplinary team
  • Effectively float across all inpatient Med/Tele units as needed
  • Initiate and monitor IV infusions; draw blood from central lines
  • Accurately document in EPIC EMR system and utilize advanced equipment including Alaris pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing
  • Maintain clear communication with colleagues, patients, and families in a busy, team-oriented setting
  • Support Provided:

  • CNA assistance with vitals, glucose checks, patient care, and safety
  • 24/7 respiratory therapy, hospitalist, and intensivist coverage
  • Access to charge nurses, resource/discharge nurses, centralized telemetry monitoring
