Job Title: 1:1 Registered Nurse

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable 1:1 Registered Nurse (RN) for a middle school student in Portland, ME for the 2026–2027 school year. This role provides direct, individualized medical support to a student throughout the school day in a supportive educational setting.

Schedule:
Tuesdays & Fridays, full school day
Approximately 15 hours per week
Opportunity to pick up substitute or per diem shifts on additional days as available
Compensation:
Hourly rate: $29–$32/hour (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 nursing care to a middle school female student
Perform g-tube feeding and management
Monitor and assist with blood sugar checks
Provide toileting and hygiene support as needed
Ensure student safety and health throughout the school day
Document and report medical updates as required
Collaborate with school staff and support team
Respond to student medical needs in accordance with care plan
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine (or eligibility to obtain)
Prior pediatric, school-based, or special needs experience preferred
Comfortable providing intimate and direct care (g-tube, diabetes management, toileting support)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Compassionate, patient, and student-centered approach
