This contract opportunity calls for professionals experienced as Operating Room Technicians or Surgical Technologists—certified or non-certified—prepared to collaborate effectively with surgical teams and maintain a sterile, organized OR environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience as an Operating Room Technician (ORT) or Surgical Technologist (certified or non-certified)
  • Current knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices
  • Ability to anticipate surgeon and team needs during procedures
  • Familiarity with a wide range of surgical instrumentation and equipment
  • Effective communicator, team player, and problem-solver
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced OR setting is highly valued
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms and ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are sterile and in place
  • Assist surgeons, RNs, and anesthesia providers before, during, and after procedures
  • Maintain a safe and aseptic environment at all times
  • Handle specimen collection and transfer according to protocols
  • Monitor and track instrument usage and help with counts pre- and post-surgery
  • Support patient positioning and draping processes as needed

    $1,331 - $1,408/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
